Robin O'Brien ~ CSA, Caregiver
Before starting Help @ Home Senior Care, LLC., I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Valley State University, and was an early elementary teacher for a few years before having a family. I am the proud mom of four boys, which makes for a very adventurous life! In Sept., 2012 I earned my Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation. A CSA is a professional who has knowledge about aging and the important health, social and financial issues that affect the majority of seniors. When obtaining home care services, you deserve to work with someone who is committed to you and the things that are important to you! I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve seniors, and help meet the needs of those in and around our community who desire to be home as they grow older. If you, or a loved one, fit this description Help @ Home can help! Please contact us today to find out how. We look forward to meeting you!
Shirley Block ~ Caregiver
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Calvin College. I married, moved out of state for 5 years, then back to Michigan. I have three wonderful, adult children. I was primarily a stay-at-home mom, and since then have worked in the healthcare field for 20 years in various positions. My husband was physically disabled in the Vietnam War, and my life has primarily centered on caring for many diverse family needs. God has blessed me with a heart to care for others and I really love people and hearing their stories. I look forward to walking with you and your loved one in this stage of life’s journey.
Kim Bowers ~ Caregiver
I've been married for 30 years and my husband and I are empty nesters. We have a son, who lives in Missouri, and a daughter, who lives nearby us. I have been working in schools for 23 years and I love working with both children and seniors! I have a passion for helping seniors and making a difference in their lives. After caring for both my own mother and grandparents, I know how important it is for seniors to remain as independent as possible. I'm excited about the opportunity to care for you/your loved ones, and consider it an honor and a blessing to partner with you!
Barb Postma ~ Caregiver
I was raised in Minnesota, graduated from Dordt College in Iowa and lived there with my family for 33 years. While living there, I enjoyed a variety of positions: legal secretary, music coordinator for churches, daycare provider, house cleaner and piano instructor. Raising our 4 boys, though, was my greatest joy (and challenge)! In 2017, my husband and I moved to Michigan. Through the suggestion of an intuitive friend, I found my passion for working with seniors, including those with memory issues. I have been working in that capacity since 2017. I thrive on making their lives comfortable, enjoyable and meaningful. It's important to me to get to know them, let them know they are valued and loved. I hope to bring them as much joy as they give to me.
